This is just a bit of an update, and if it serves a purpose at all it might be to remind me next year what I have done this! So the Dahlias are up, their vegetation is on the compost heap and the tubers of the best of them are washed and drying in a garden tray in the garage. In a week or three I shall, all being well, put them right way up in a blanket of coir ready to keep snug through the winter months. Then I shall pot them up in early spring, ready to be planted out when the frost has gone. ….. that’s the plan anyway.
So that’s done, and what looks like the last of the leaves have been swept up. The next move is to deal with the Acers which need cutting back – that’ll be in a few days I hope.
