It’s all beginning to happen, with the emergence of colours and fragrances all around the garden. My “herbaceous border” project is beginning to show promise as is all sorts else that I don’t seem to have photographed this time around. Including, I might add, the contents of the greenhouse which suggest at least the possibility of too many tomatoes.
The surprise visitor came in over the back fence and, thankfully, did less damage that at first we thought it might have done. It was a substantial limb from a group of self seeded sycamores that stand on the very edge of the wood that’s behind our garden. We were in the house, and it missed the greenhouse by about 1 metre. There was some slight damage to some of the plants it fell on, but only slight. We set to with saw, loppers and secateurs, and it went to the tip! Huh!
